Although Blodwyn Pig was formed by Mick Abrahams (upon leaving Jethro Tull in November 1968) he left the band in September 1970. After a period with two replacement guitarists (Peter Banks (Yes) and Barry Reynolds. However both leave and are replaced by Larry Wallis and they change their name to Lancaster's Bombers.
LANCASTER'S BOMBERS / LANCASTER
Larry Wallis (guitar, vocals)
Andy Pyle (bass)
Jack Lancaster (wind)
Ron Berg (drums)
They started under the name Lancaster's Bombers, and later they shortened it to Lancaster, thus demonstrating who was the leader in the band. But they were a short-lived band. They toured supporting Yes around 1971.
Larry Wallis worked with Jack Lancaster again when they worked on two Mick Farren/Deviant albums Fragments of Broken Probes (1998). The album features Mick Farren (guitar), Andy Colquhoun (guitar), Larry Wallis (guitar), Jack Lancaster (wind), Spike Baron (bass), and Alan Powell (drums). And again for The Deviants Have Left the Planet (1999). The album features Mick Farren, Jack Lancaster, Andy Colquhoun, Larry Wallis, and Phil Taylor.
